A multidisciplinary firm built around scientific expertise

toXcel was founded by Alan Katz, a board-certified toxicologist with over 40 years of experience across pharmaceutical, chemical, food ingredient, cosmetic, and agrochemical fields. What began as a toxicology consulting firm has grown into a multidisciplinary organization spanning behavioral science, engineering, transportation research, public health, and regulatory services.


In 2014, Bryan Katz joined toXcel to expand the company's capabilities into public-sector services, building a team focused on transportation engineering, human factors, data analysis, and applied research.

OUR STORY

From toxicology to technology and beyond

toXcel's roots are in toxicology consulting. Founded by Alan Katz in 1999, the firm built its reputation on rigorous scientific inquiry and a commitment to protecting human health and the environment. Over time, toXcel expanded into transportation engineering, behavioral science, data analytics, and applied research.


When Bryan Katz joined the firm in 2014, he brought a focus on public-sector challenges and built a team capable of tackling complex, cross-disciplinary problems. That team has since supported major federal clients including the Federal Highway Administration, contributing to projects that advance roadway safety and transportation research across the country.

ALIGN reflects that same commitment to evidence-based problem solving, applied to a challenge that matters to families and communities everywhere.
