ABOUT ALIGN

An AI awareness initiative for the whole school community

AI is already part of everyday life. ALIGN was created to make sure students, educators, and parents and guardians have the awareness and literacy to navigate it with confidence.

We believe that understanding AI is not just a technical skill. It is an essential part of being an informed, capable person in today's world.
OUR MISSION

Building AI literacy where it matters most

ALIGN is an AI awareness and literacy program developed to meet a growing need in schools across the country. As artificial intelligence becomes more embedded in how students learn, communicate, and access information, the gap between how much students interact with AI and how much they actually understand about it continues to widen.

ALIGN exists to close that gap. Through curriculum designed specifically for students, educators, and parents and guardians, we give every member of the school community the knowledge and context they need to engage with AI thoughtfully and responsibly.

Our goal is not to discourage the use of technology. It is to ensure that the people using it understand what it is, how it works, and what to watch out for.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our guiding principles

Awareness before action

You cannot make good decisions about tools you do not understand. ALIGN starts with building genuine awareness of what AI is and where it already shows up in daily life.

Accessible to everyone

AI literacy should not require a technical background. ALIGN is designed to be approachable for students, educators, and parents and guardians, regardless of prior experience with technology.

Community-centered

Meaningful AI literacy happens at the community level. ALIGN brings students, educators, and parents and guardians into the same conversation so that awareness is shared, not siloed.

Grounded in research

ALIGN's curriculum is built on current data and documented outcomes. We believe the school community deserves accurate, evidence-based information.

Responsibility over restriction

ALIGN does not advocate for banning or avoiding AI. We advocate for understanding it well enough to use it responsibly and recognize when something does not feel right.

Built for any district

ALIGN is designed to be scalable and adaptable, making it accessible to school districts across the country regardless of size, region, or existing technology infrastructure.

HOW WE WORK

Our approach to AI literacy

1. Meet people where they are

Each ALIGN learning track is tailored to its audience. Students, educators, and parents and guardians receive content that speaks directly to their experience and their role in the school community.

2. Start with the real picture

ALIGN opens with what is actually happening. Our curriculum is built around current data on how AI is being used by students today, so the conversation starts on solid ground.

3. Build practical skills

Awareness alone is not enough. ALIGN equips each audience with concrete tools, talking points, and frameworks they can apply right away at home, in the classroom, or at the district level.

4. Keep the conversation going

AI is evolving quickly. ALIGN is designed to grow alongside it, giving communities a foundation to keep learning as the technology changes.
